Although I’m sure everyone and their mom who visits my humble bloggie also visits design*sponge, authored by (fellow William & Mary alum) Grace Bonney, so chances are you’ve already seen this. She just posted a Richmond, VA, city guide, highlighting must-see shops and restaurants!
In addition to Richmond being Grace’s birth city, it was mine too! Although I don’t remember much (ok, any) of my 3 years there, it still holds a special place in my heart and is a fun place to visit. For you DC-ers, it’s definitely worth the jaunt down 95 for a day trip!
Thanks for the great shop and restaurant round-up, Grace! You can check out the full Richmond city guide here, DC here, or many other cities here.

The blogsphere is so small! When I saw the Richmond guide, I immediately thought about all the design/decor bloggers who are either from here or live here. It’s a pretty impressive list!

It’s funny how these things all come together. I read both your blog and Grace’s and was thrilled to see the Richmond, VA guide this week, too. I live in Richmond and am a William & Mary grad (‘97)! I also lived in Arlington (not sure where you are in DC metro) for five years. Small world…great design!
{love} your blog! Juliet

Jeannine – The Commonwealth is the place to be!
Juliet – Go Tribe (with feathers!)!!! So fun to find fellow alums (especially ones with good design taste!) . I spent a few years down in Arlington but now we’re enjoying life in the ‘burbs in Vienna. Love your blog too (and especially your template – so cute!)!!!

Hey – I was born in Richmond too! Only lived there for like 2.5 years but still claim it as my birthplace, of course!
